The Forge newspaper sent out a google form asking the students here at GMC who their friends are and how they met. Some have been friends since middle school, while others met here at GMC. It is encouraging to see all these friendships!

• We met in middle school and got back in touch through our church youth group.

• Back in our junior year (we are seniors), I had Ms.Teel’s chemistry class. About 2-3weeks in, we had a new student transfer in and ended up having our class. She sat right in front of me. One day, I looked over and asked her what her name is. She responded with, ” I’m Alyssa; what’s your name?” Shortly after that day, we started seeing each other around school, so naturally, we started talking more. As it turns out, she also had Mr. Gallion’s history class with me. Very quickly, we became good friends, and every day we become closer.

• Cross Country. Everything we all do together, I feel so close, and at this point, they are nothing but family to me. It’ll be the saddest thing in the world when I have to leave them. This team, I wish I could hold onto forever and ever.
