What the Forge Is Looking Forward to Over Break

Ansa Thomas and Bayleigh Weber

Winter break is coming up very soon, which raises the question of what students are looking forward to over winter break. We decided to narrow it down, so we asked The Forge what are you most looking forward to over break.

Editor-In-Chief Ansa Thomas is most looking forward to…

I am excited to hang out with my family and read the books I never have time to read. School takes up so much of my time, so I am excited to be able to slow down and enjoy all of the little moments that make up my break.

Managing Editor Liam Kemp is most looking forward to…

What I am looking forward too this winter break is to be around family and to see what they have been up too. there is nothing quite like seeing family happy after giving gifts and food and I hold that deep near my heart

Co-Managing Editor Madi Wilkerson is most looking forward to…

I am looking forward to being able to spend a lot of time with my family and friends, and giving them their Christmas gifts.

Features Editor Emma Childs is most looking forward to…

I am excited to get to see my extended family and see christmas lights.

Sports Editor Alex Fowler is most looking forward to…

sleeping. In my nice warm bed. I love sleeping very much.

Blasefeed Editor Anna Chebowski is most looking forward to…

I look forward to catching up on sleep, hanging out with friends, and participating in gift exchanges. I love taking long naps, and with school being in session, I haven’t been able to do that. On break I won’t have to worry about completing homework before I have the chance to sleep. Hanging out with friends is something that I haven’t been able to do recently because I have practice on the weekends. I’ll finally be able to have some fun on the weekdays with good friends. Lastly, I’m excited for gift exchanges because I love giving gifts to people. I also love to see what other people do when making/giving gifts so I can have ideas for future years.

News Editor Ellie  Garzony is most looking forward to…

I am looking forward to spending time with my friends and family. In addition, will be working with Greer Relief to conduct the Annual Christmas Morning Shoppe and the Greer Christmas Parade.

Opinions Editor Bayleigh Weber is most looking forward to…

I am most looking forward to spending extra time with my cat, Daisy. She is 11 years of age, and we are so happy to be celebrating her golden years! Christmas is her favorite time of year. Her eyes are always big and happy come December! I am very excited to spend as much time as possible with my very adorable cat over the holidays. 🙂

Broadcasting Editor Emily Salvato is most looking forward to…

I am looking forward to making Christmas cookies with my family and hiding the elf on the shelf for my sister, I’m keeping the magic real.

Reporter Harper Tonnesen is most looking forward to…

Over winter break I am excited to see my family of course. But I am very excited to decorate for Christmas. Christmas is my favorite holiday to decorate for by far!  My favorite part is getting fun ornaments for my mini tree.

We hope that you guys have a great break and a Happy New year! Can’t wait to write for you guys in the new year.
