On Thursday, April 11th, GMC held its annual Senior Capstone Showcase. Senior Capstone is a graduation requirement for all students at GMC. Students start their Capstone journey in April of their Junior year, they have the option to pick between a project or internship/ work-based learning.
Projects are up to the student’s creativity, ranging from making your own business to making a YouTube channel, and an internship is exactly how it sounds.
From publishing an album to creating a pair of wings (that can be worn, by the way!), our seniors have blown us away with their creativity and passion.
Sarah Culberson (‘24) interned for Furman University’s Human Resources department.
Alli Chandler (‘24) interned for Greer Police Department and provided a drug identification guide.
Soheila Feliciano (‘24) interned for a family dentistry.
Ansa Thomas (‘24) interned for North Hills Church and provided home-baked goods.
Liam Kemp (‘24) created his own senior project, titled “The Art of the ‘Cut’”.
Elly Rainey (‘24) published an album (go stream Songbird by Ellyson on all music platforms!).
Madelyn Thivierge (‘24) interned for Roper Mountain Science Center as an animal caretaker and even brought a few animals!
Morgan Meeks (‘24) designed and constructed a pair of wings that can extend and be worn!
Congratulations to all of our seniors and good luck on your future journeys! We are so proud of you and all that you have accomplished.
