Cafe Changes

Cafe+Changes

In the cafe, there are new prices and a new card reader. Increases came from prices in stores and vendors due to increasing costs on their end (labor and product). As far as Propel, no profit was made on it last year, so the price was increased so some profit was made.
When thinking about prices in the cafe, athletics drinks cost more (Gatorade is $2 and vending machines cost $1.75).
As for the card reader, square charges a fee to run credit cards so the cafe doesn’t have to absorb the cost or raise other prices, and that’s why you have to pay the one dollar fee. The square card reader works with any widely and commonly used magstripe or chip cards.
